Faithful old 'post'~

Hello and Happy Autumn to you!  Thank you for peeking in today~
I am still sharing things from the past : /  but perhaps you haven't seen before~
A journal made with a 7Gypsies book cover, lots of scraps from the craft table! including Tim Holtz ephemera and Maja Designs papers.  The heart was die cut from canvas and stenciled with Gesso & the edges inked.
That gold ribbon was always my favorite!  I used it often; and can now no longer find it : /  (well, not that exact color and texture)   The black clip on the left is a cafe curtain rod clip!
Some eyelets and cotton twine.   Lace and punching. <3 button.
Below are a few pages inside~
I enjoy making my own paper flowers but
don't always do so! These I did make~  Bits of washi tape, rub-ons (remember those?! : ) and stamping.

How have you been these days?  I would love to hear from you.
Our Autumn started early this year (Oct 1) and even snow in the mountains near my home.  But there was a bit of a break this week and we've had moderate temperatures~  I am still able to take walks!  But today the weather looks 'threatening' - so we shall see.

I hope you have a wonderful week-end!!
 Loving hugs to you,   Karen

  1. Oh Karen I just love the way you put together your journal covers, everything is always perfect in it's place. That is some beautiful ribbon, hope you can find it again....Love the little envelope at the bottom with the torn pieces and brads, just perfection!
I had been wondering if you had received snow when I heard on the news that some areas were getting it up there.

    1. Much thanks to you Connie for stopping in and leaving a comment! I appreciate your sweet words always~ We have snow in our mountains and very chilly weather; some rain and hints of snow coming again this Sat. *sigh* : )

  2. Hello dear Karen, this is beautiful,
a gorgeous cower for your book, such a sweet idea with the eyelets and the twine, and love the stack of tags in right side .
The beautiful vintage image is so lovely, and so are your handmade flowers, dear friend.
Here we have autumn too, but still on the right side of ciro degrees , and no frost yet . Yesterday Henning and I walked 7 km - a two hours walk , -that is a lot for me, lol- I try to find hours in the days, when no rail falling ,and then walk my normal 3 km most every day !!
Sending you loving hugs, from Dorthe xoxo

    1. Thanks you dear Dorthe for the visit and kind comment! You brighten my day. I enjoyed making this journal and passing it on to someone who could use it~ I hope to find some inspiration to do some creating soon; we shall see! Glad to hear that you still able to get out and walk! You and Henning are taking care of each other! : ) Yes, autumn is here for most of us and we can enjoy the beauty; even if it means colder temperatures! Loving hugs to you friend~ Karen

  3. No, I hadn't seen this before and I'm delighted to see it now. I absolutely love the neutrals with the added blues and the warm golden accents. I particularly like how the eyelets so perfectly echo the ribbon, and the gorgeous layering of all those pretty papers and vintage ephemera. Nice to get a peek at some of the elegant pages inside too. Glad to hear you've had some better weather before the winter sets in. It's terribly grey and gloomy here today - I've had the light on all day. We are due a little more sunshine though, so I hope that comes true!

    1. Hello Alison and thank you for peeking into my blog! It is always a delight to see you've stopped by~ I so enjoyed working on this journal.
Have your gloomy skies turned blue yet?! : ) We actually have blue skies and some clouds, but the wind is terribly whippy; so somewhat spoils my chances to enjoy a walk! But I truly want to see the beauty in every season~ Some are just easier than others- for me : ) I hope things are improved for you. I look forward to seeing whats new on your amazing blog! Hugs, Karen

  4. Beautiful one again!
I love the old curtain clip, certainly adds character to your beautiful journal, and those pages, lovely.

We've been having some cold windy weather here, makes for some cold walks.
Supposed to get more snow tonight.

So nice visiting with you, dear Karen ♡
