A 'Paper Bag' Thank You!

Hi friends,
I hope and trust you had a blessed Easter?  I was with family & friends, and it was a great week-end!

I am sharing with you today a paper bag that I've recycled : ) into a card.
The "crown" at the top is really just a vertical strip of paper that I decoratively punched.  It slips into the bag - to write your sentiment on~

My camera is still not giving me the pictures I want; and I can't seem to get a close-up! : (
*sigh*
I lightly edged the small bag with ivory paint,  & covered it with scrapbook paper (Bo Bunny)
The beautiful image was a gift from Marie @ Lost bird Studio's~ http://marie-lostbirdstudio.blogspot.com/

I've used some pale tissue paper behind the image, and bits of cheese cloth, buttons, sequins . . .
Thank you for taking a peek today!
I'm hoping to share this @ Wen's Simply Neutral Tuesdays party~ at Appleapricot.blogspot.com
Please take a look at all the gorgeous neutrals you will find there!

Well, here is a closer shot - but where is the top?! LOL
OK, I surrender.  I'll need to take the camera (and the photographer!) in to the shop~  *sigh*

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead~
Blessings and hugs,  Karen O

  3. This is so beautiful with all the delicate layers of papers and bits! I'm not the best with taking pics either so I'm of no help on that end. However, you did ask in your comment left on my blog (thank you!) about the butterfly on my piece. That is a stamp. It's by Tim Holtz and in a clear stamp set that included three butterflies and a quote about wonder.

  4. Hello Karen, I LOVE your card! The photos look in the style of Julia Margaret Cameron - dreamy and ethereal! The fibres look great peeking out, and the little heart with music- so gorgeous! You chose just the right scrapbooking paper -it belongs there :)

Are you using a digital camera or a phone to take the pictures? My phone sometimes takes ages before it will focus (Samsung). If it's a camera, check your white balance, reset all your functions back to factory settings or perhaps try another focus setting? When all else fails - try reading the manual... or go to a camera shop for help :) Your work is so lovely, it deserves the fine details to be seen too.

Thank you for the visit and encouragement about my 'paper bag' card : )
I am using a digital camera and I did reset it back to factory settings~
But I don't know how to use/operate it well, so I think I'll get some prof. help
and maybe even a class or two. Thanks again for the visit Jesse! Have a great week-end~ Karen

  5. The most wonderful bag, I ever saw, dear Karen , such lovely details, and love the fivers "flying" free, on sides of the beautiful image from dear Marie, and the adorable "flowers " you created with the tiny pearls. Also the punched out top is a great detail, which I will try to remember :-) .
Karen how are you , did you leave to take care of your family dear friend ?
Sending you a warm hug. Love, Dorthe
