Hello to all who visit~ Thank you for taking time to stop in!
We are truly in the midst of Spring weather in Colorado. Rain, (whew! : ) Hail : (
and cloudy and cool; with some warmer temps dotting the state as well.
I just wanted to share some cards I made this week-end; and may I say - 'just in the nick of time!'
I found I needed 2 birthday cards and a graduation card . . . NOW! (that's what I get for procrastinating : /
So I got to work and was able to create some quick cards, and thought I would post them today.
This is a tag card I made for my mothers birthday package~
I used papers from --> Bo Bunny Co. and --> 49 & Market from Scrapbook Diaries online store~
The vintage look white papers on the tag and base are from 49 & Market. I just recently found these papers and I love love them!
There's also some seam binding and silk ribbon.
I used 'pop dots' sticky adhesive squares to make the bird cut-out stand out.
And here is a graduation card I kind of quickly put together! but I like how it turned out. I have a harder time with "guy" cards ; J and I'm so glad I had the Top Hat embellishment from my dear friend Marylou; as it was a big help in giving me a jump off point! She created that using black embossing powder on kraft cardstock~
I am NOT a fast crafter, but managed to get 3 cards done in (almost:) one day! So waaahooo : )
The white trim edging is punched, the teeny flowers hand made, and the birds are a rub-on. [Yes! rub ons are still around! LOL But if they get old, are often unusable - - so get going with those rub-ons friend: ]
Thank you for stopping in!
I hope you know it means so much to me~
Wishing you God's blessings throughout the week : )
Karen
I absolutely adore your cards Karen, especially the masculine one .. brilliant!! Bet your dear mother adored the tag card, it is so gorgeous as is the other feminine card. Love the vintage look and the bird themes on both. Your graduation card is stunning .. for someone who has 'a hard time' with masculine cards, you certainly rocked this one. Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my blog and over at Megs Garden blog. I know the girls there really appreciate your comments too. As you know, I haven't done much lately what with being on holiday and then getting sick but I'm feeling a whole lot better now and am getting back into my craft room again. Yayy!! DeleteYou had a busy weekend and these are all fantastic, love the collage vintage feel of the first, just beautiful. The masculine card came out terrific, that is a stamp from Hot off the press, they have some good masculine stamps. Your last card is so lovely and a great reminder to use our rubons, I may have to do that for my next card :) Thanks for such Beautiful inspiration in all you do, hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend!!
ReplyDeleteHi Connie! Thanks so much friend for stopping by to see my cards~ I appreciate your kind comments Connie.
DeleteYes, I recently bought some rub ons (they were gorgeous!) and they would NOT rub off the plastic. When I checked the date on the pkg; they were from 2011! *sigh* My greatest disappointment was that they were sooo pretty, and I couldn't use them : ( I checked some sights about how to try and get them to loosen (heat, etc) but nothing works. They seem to be almost melted onto the plastic they came on! *sheeesh:) Well, I will survive: J Take care and hope you know how much I enjoy your blog and all it's inspiration~ Karen
Waw so great work, love all the vintage colours, Wish you a nice day
Deletegorgeous as always. Love your style :)
ReplyDeleteKaren~ Your talents never cease to amaze me! What gorgeous cards you have made! Each one so uniquely different and cleverly created! Had a terrible heat spell and now it is dipping down into the 60's tonight. I hate to say it - but anything over 75 is too hot for me! Have a great week!
