for Amanda~

Just a quick post today.  Here is the birthday card I made for my daughter Amanda.
Right now both of my girls are married with families of their own; all living in MT : l
I miss them always, but was blessed to have a visit from them recently~ Whew! : ) does my heart so much good~

I have layered  Maja Design papers (from Sweden); some of them are dry embossed. I've also added
bits of corrugated board,  lace, a charm spoon, (Reneabouquet on Etsy) a smidgen  of silver German glitter glass ( a bit in the spoon and a bit around the corner's edge) - and a white silk bow to tie it all together!
The heart is made from natural  batting and  I've done some blanket stitch around the edge.

Weekly linky partyI will be sharing this at: >     AppleApricot's   SIMPLY NEUTRALS TUESDAY!  Please join Wen there to see all the lovelies she has to share in her weekly Linky!!  Gorgeous neutral creations in store for you; so inspiring~
Blessings  for a wonderful week!  Karen

  4. Dear Kare, just saw this on my way to bed, and had to comment right away, as this card is so very beautiful!
The papers and laces,- the way you treated them, and created amazing layers with them ,are so wonderful, and love how you added the extra layer with the elongated tag, so lovely patterned, -and with the beauty of the big bow, and your so lovely heart. The stitching around in blue, and the butterfly on top, makes it so very special, and I can see you created this card for your daughter, ( what a sweet name : Amanda ) with so much love.
I was happy to see this before going to sleep dear,-and thank you for your lovely pm, you will soon hear from me.

  9. Hi Karen. What a stunning card you have created. Amanda will likely cherish it forever. Personally, I would frame it and hang it as wall art, or perhaps display it on a table. All of the components are wonderful, and that little spoon charm is frosting on the cake! Hugs, Sue
