2 "Look Alike"  cards today~

Hi there friends!  Thanks for stopping in : )
Just posting 2 cards I recently made.  One for a birthday, and one, unfortunately, a Sympathy card.

I recently purchase several sheets of this beautiful paper and the neat die-cut pieces;
created by  Kaisercraft   (scrapbook suppliers.)
And though usually we see "sympathy" cards in more 'subtle' tones; I thought my friend (who just recently lost her husband of 42 years : (    would perhaps appreciate this style~~

Below is the Birthday card - actually made this one first~

Do you like the faux 'stitch-stamping' along the edges?  It's from a stamp designed by Gabrielle Pollaco for a company called Scrapbook Diaries - an on line store.

well, I guess that's all for today!
I do want to tell those that follow, that I am feeling SO MUCH better these days!
Thank You Lord : )

Have a great rest of the week~
Karen

  2. Hi Karen!! Your cards are gorgeous! Love the colours and the layered ephemera and I really do love that stamp .. have been trying for a while now to get one for myself but they are not readily available. Lots of places I've tried are sold out of them. So glad too that you are feeling better .. wonderful!! hugs xx

  6. Karen, so good to hear that you are feeling better!
    Love both collage cards here, I can see the Love that went into both of them, like how some of the items hang over the edge like that. The stamped stitching looks so real!

  12. Dearest Karen,
    it is so good to be back in blogland after the house move. I have almost emptied all boxes, and also found my new workroom, in the basement, to be a lovely room. Well maybe I have just too many shelves, here, as no room for friends art.....which has to be changed!! I love your two new cards,- so beautiful details, in both of them, and yes I like the faux stitching very much !! Also love your color tones in both of them.
    Such happy news, that you feel so much better, dear friend.
    Hugs and love from Dorthe
