Some powders are better than others at giving you that slight touch of dimension and texture - but if they're too chunky, then the delicate lettering becomes harder to read... it's trial and error mostly!
Alison xWords and Pictureshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05672524847577136244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-160145519685722.post-8745104888488682522019-04-20T03:10:49.269-08:002019-04-20T03:10:49.269-08:00Lovely to get another glimpse into the past - this...Lovely to get another glimpse into the past - this is an absolutely charming card. I love the delicate duck egg colours of the flowers, and the lovely dimension of that furled paper to reveal the charred and distressed music manuscript behind. Vintage loveliness - and a big cheer for your dad still enjoying his music too.
Alison xWords and Pictureshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05672524847577136244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-160145519685722.post-9653871301138056512019-04-18T08:57:45.525-08:002019-04-18T08:57:45.525-08:00So Beautiful and I love that JBS button :) So Beautiful and I love that JBS button :) Connie Mercerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03594413278802349585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-160145519685722.post-91097439491301346462019-04-14T13:00:01.484-08:002019-04-14T13:00:01.484-08:00Simply BEAUTIFUL! He looks such a kind and sweet man- such great photos. I hope your Easter week starts beautifully, and that you are doing good.
I`m home after my second thyroid scan , and will soon pm you .
Hugs and love from Dorthe xx
Dorthehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13685326242045661724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-160145519685722.post-76983631446269666832019-04-13T04:33:45.807-08:002019-04-13T04:33:45.807-08:00Dear Karen,

As you said, down under, we are supposed to be heading into cooler weather as it is Autumn but, we are still getting temps in the 30s (centigrade, that is) Our nights are getting quite cool but the days are unseasonably warm still, and we are getting desperate for rain. Hoping that will come our way soon.
Your card is stunning. I love the handmade flowers and the colours are a gorgeous blend. Loving the printed papers too .. adds such a lovely vintage touch. Have a wonderful weekend!! hugs xxMargaret Mifsudhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06807555779599228830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-160145519685722.post-79822070140303292652019-04-11T23:10:09.228-08:002019-04-11T23:10:09.228-08:00Dearest Karen, the photos of your dad make me smil...Dearest Karen, the photos of your dad make me smile :) I'm also brought up surrounded by classical music, played by my grandmother. She played all kinds of flutes and the harpsichord. She taught me how to play all kinds of flutes as well, she was a music teacher. Sweet memories :)
Your card is so so gorgeous!! There are so many things I love about it! The beautiful flowers and papers, the harmonious colours, the way you layered everything, so gorgeous!
Sending you big hugs and love, xxAppleApricot Wenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07948921746710818301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-160145519685722.post-53111572441664206382019-04-11T18:18:49.607-08:002019-04-11T18:18:49.607-08:00stunning, I think you are the queen of layering, I...stunning, I think you are the queen of layering, I just love how you put it all together like that, beautiful job on the flowers and I love that you used the vintage buttons.
